Meet The Band

 

Matt Trainum-Guitar/ Limited Vocals

Graduated from Gloucester High School in 2009 and Rappahanock Community College in 2011 with an Associates in Human Services. Matt likes long boarding, bicycling, campfires, and rubber chickens.

Myra Hess - Lead Vocals

Graduated from School of Hard Knocks. She is the mother of two boys and a girl and the wife of one husband Jason. Myra likes yard work, Asian culture, traveling, and rubber biscuits.

Tim E Wahlström - Percussion

Graduated from Tabb High School in 1978 and Christopher Newport University in 1986 with a B.A in Psychology. Tim is the father of three daughters, two step-sons, and a step-daughter and husband of one wife Karen. He is owned by three dogs and two cats that let him live in their home. Tim likes long boarding, bicycling, peace building, and rubber baby buggy bumbpers. 

 

Biography

Matt, Myra and Tim formed In The Deep in the Spring of 2014. In The Deep seeks to face all things with courage and tenderness and touch the hurting places in others and ourselves with love. They use music, words, instruments and their stories from The Deep places within themselves to reach The Deep places within others. In The Deep is that place between us, that the Holy Spirit wants to bring into unity together. Hence, the name In The Deep. We have played for Sunday morning worship services, weekend youth retreats, open mic nights, festivals and other various places. We play mostly acoustic folk music. We cover songs from Jamestown Revial to Johnny Cash. We also have some of our own material and plan on recording it soon.
